So, the image itself works, but the problem is that one of the tools is wrong?

I think that the current images were built by RodW using:
https://github.com/rodw-au/rpi-img-builder-lcnc

Which is a lot ahead of:
https://github.com/LinuxCNC/rpi-img-builder-lcnc

I don't immediately see any reference to rpi-eeprom-config in the
codebase, so don't know how we can control the version.
