I run a CNC machine shop in taranaki new Zealand

Lots of oil and gas here and a few factories etc.

It's a full time gig.

And pretty much all my machines run on linuxcnc.  With the exception of a
few that run fagor.

I got 5 linuxcnc machines currently.  All over 4.5 ton.

The biggest is this one at 22 tons.

I think my situation is a good example.

You can definitely run a commercial machine shop out to make money on
linuxcnc.

The only thing that linuxcnc has been lacking really bad is the jerk
control I think. Pretty much. Though I have a shopping list for other stuff
I would like 😁
