I just discovered PSPad after years of using UltraEdit, and Wow! am I impressed. PSPad seems to have everything, and it's lighter weight with a MUCH more logical and intuitive user interface. Now for the problem: pspad doesn't use the Windows standard file dialog for any of its file activity. So what? Well that means that File-Ex http://www.cottonwoodsw.com/ doesn't work for me with pspad! In my programming work I use three indispensible tools in addition to a simple yet powerful editor: clipboard manager (ClipMate), file manager (Total Commander), and file dialog manager (File-Ex). It's a real shame not to have the convenient helper of File-Ex. By the way, Microsoft Office doesn't use standard Windows file dialogs either. But what would you expect. No big deal though, as I seldom use those products. -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
