How interesting... after I installed and ran FileBox eXtender (fbx), then File-Ex buttons and boxes showed up in PSPad! Then when I told fbx to exit, it left the File-Ex boxes there, but the file list shrunk back to its normal size, leaving a big blank area of gray between the file list and the File-Ex buttons. My hunch is that PSPad is opening the file dialog with some sort of fixed dimensions (similar to the way one can open a browser window of specific dimensions). Fbx has a way to override those set dimensions, but File-Ex does not. Thanks for turning me on to FileBox eXtender. It's missing a few handy things File-Ex has, like: full file operations (delete, rename, copy, move) and copy file path. But fbx adds roll-up and on top. I think I'll buy it. One other thing that makes for a great product is when it has a great user community. I appreciate the participation here. -- PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
