I don't think that this is related to Enigmail. The first time that Enigmail is involved is when a message is decrypted or verified. But at this point the mail has already been received and the notification stuff is done. I suspect one of the following "reasons" for your problem: 1. Some addon that plugs into the message receiving or message filtering process (as said: Enigmail does not do this) 2. A message filter rule (e.g. that marks messages as "read") 3.
