Looks like a whitespace problem.

Are you by any chance mixing and matching thunderbird and enigmail from
your distro's packages and the mozilla sites? If so, don't do that. :)
Make sure that you have all of one, or all of the other.

If that is not the case, hopefully someone smarter will have a better
answer for you. :)
