Thank you very much for your feedback! My reason for thinking about
Enigmail is that I see this as more of an "extra feature" than
something that is an essential part of GPG (at least for now). Thus
it makes sense in Enigmail for me (but I wouldn't oppose adding
Namecoin support to GnuPG itself, of course!).

My idea is something simple like this: Just add a button or something
to the UI window displaying key details which prompts for a Namecoin
name and then displays a visible indication (gree/red or something) of
whether or not the displayed key's fingerprint matches the given
Namecoin identity.

This would be trivial to add (also as a "UI-only" thing inside of
Enigmail), but would allow users to check keys they got from a
keyserver in a simple way against names they expect, and then sign the
keys if the indication becomes green.

What do you think about that? Would it be too complicated a workflow?
I personally would welcome a feature like this inside of Enigmail.
But as mentioned, if you believe this should be added to GnuPG itself
instead, I'll ask the GnuPG people about their opinion.

Thanks! Yours,
Daniel
