Hello,

I am using Enigmail 1.6 and Thunderbird (Icedove) 24.6.0.

In the main menu on the top, I have following option deactivated:

OpenPGP
  -> Automatically Decrypt/Verify messages

However, when I select an encrypted/signed message, the OpenPGP prompt
pops up and asks me for my password anyway.

This is extremely annoying, because it makes it impossible to scroll
down the list of my emails. Every time I hit on an encrypted email, this
prompt pops up.

There is something strange going on, I had this problem cca 8 months ago
on my other account/computer, and then it disappeared. I even filed a
Debian Bug: 732067

Now I am having this problem again, on a freshly created Thunderbird
account on a new machine.

On another computer, which is using exactly the same version of Debian,
Thunderbird, Enigmail this problem does not exist (Automatically Decrypt
is disabled and works as expected)

This problem does not seem to arise in any deterministic way. Is it
possible, that some other option interferes with enigmail, and causes
trouble? I tend to customize Thunderbird a lot (in about:config) and I
usually customize the accounts similarly. But I am not aware of any
single option that would trigger this probelm.

As I said, this is extremely annoying. I would be very happy for any
suggestion

thanks,
Martin
