I've just started using Thunderbird/Enigmail again and am seeing an odd
thing. I have Enigmail set to neither sign nor encrypt mail unless I
manually tell it to. When replying to a newsgroup messageor e-mail, the
Enigmail Key Selection window pops up. This is apparently random - but
may be time related as I've only noticed it when I've been typing for
some time. Both the message "recipient not valid, trusted or not found",
and my Newsgroup signing key number are shown top left (even on e-mail),
the "send encrypted" box is ticked, and to get the message to send it is
necessary to tick the "force not to encrypt" box - although encryption
is not selected by me, nor shown to be selected in the drop-down menus.
It just happenedwhilst I was typing this, and still included my
newsgroup key, even though I'm not using my newsgroup e-mail address. I
clicked "Forced not to encrypt" and then a couple of moments later the
window popped up again, even though "force not to encrypt" was still
ticked. Any ideas what's going on - is this a known bug?

Regards,

Bob
