Which version of Enigmail are you using? A "failed signature verification" means, that either mail text or signature was changed after the signing process. As there's no transmission process involved in your case, a line wrap issue may have happened. Inline PGP format is susceptible for such failures. Please either check your wrap settings or use PGP/MIME format. HTH Ludwig
