Hi Marcus,Does anyone have any tips on how to simplify moving my Thunderbird email files from my old PC to my new PC?sure, that's easy, I've done it multiple times, even across OSes. You're on Windows, right? First, close Thunderbird on both PCs. On the old PC, open Windows Explorer, type %appdata% into the Location line, and Enter. You should be in a directory called "Roaming" now. Therein, you should see a directory "Thunderbird" (or "Mozilla Thunderbird"?) and another called "gnupg" (or "GnuPG"). Just copy both directories to a thumb drive. On your new PC, open %appdata% and rename the aforementioned directories so you can move those from the tumbdrive to %appdata% without overwriting anything. Start Thunderbird on the new PC. It should look exactly like on your old one. Olav -- The Enigmail Project - OpenPGP Email Security For Mozilla Applications |
