Works most of the time, not all of the time.  Trying to copy a lock file
while GnuPG is using it, for instance, can lead to access violations
("this file is currently in use and cannot be copied" sort of things).
The users who encounter these problems normally do not understand what's
happening, have great difficulty accurately reporting what's happening,
and it's mighty vexing for me to try to help them.  Hence, making a tool
to do it automagically.

I don't want to sound like I'm dismissive of our users.  I think our
users are great.  But we need to keep in mind what technical skill level
our users tend to operate on, and we need to target Enigmail at that level.
