I can see this being quite hard to implement, but I think it might be quite nice. Imagine being able to use keyboard shortcuts in programs while they are iconified! You would be able to quit programs by mousing over their icon and pressing ^q (assuming they have that keyboard shortcut), or duplicate an iconified Mozilla or konqueror window just by doing the keyboard shortcut.
