Since DR16.7 is in pre, it's time to talk ports.

I'm planning on providing Solaris builds in PKG format. DR16.7 is fine under GCC right now, but I'm working out some problems under Forte for an optomized build.

Looks like both Nick and Guillaume have SGI. I just aquired an Indigo2 for porting, so it's irronic you guys now talking IRIX. Is there any possiblity we could get tardists ala MIPSpro? I've got IRIX 6.5 but I don't have a MIPSpro license, so I'm remediated to GCC unless SGI wants to swing me a temp/eval license for the port.

If there is interest in HP-UX 10.20/11i I can provide depots, but it's a serious pita and I don't think we have any HP-UX interest.

OS/2 is dead. Thankfully.

I know there are acouple Tru64 and AIX users out there, but only a handful. I don't have either systems, but have considered picking up a cheap IBM 43P for E porting if the interest arises. Tru64 will only continue to dwindle (sadly) so I doubt there is any point there.

BSD packages would be nice too. Vac, are you able to cut packages?

OSX is a possible platform, but there isn't too much point since it's nested, so I suppose it'd only be nifty for PR/novelty value.

Any other platforms we're forgetting? Linux/PPC shouldn't be too hard I think, and naturally all platforms are supported under Linux. Spanky has got our back on the Gentoo side, and kwo is cutting Linux RPMs.
