well, a key combo would surely be necessary. like pressing a mouse button 
while dragging (or any other key).

as for usefulness, i am a heavy user of mouse gestures in 
firefox. it has made using firefox a whole lot easier.
anyway, just think of the possibilities of dragging the mouse upwards and 
opening an xterm...

anyway, is there a way of listening to mouse events in e ???
