well the points need to be recorded when defined in some sort of given scaling
space. when scaled to a new size they need to be scaled on the fly using the
original scaling space. that way you won't get cumulative error either way - of
course all scaling does introduce error - you are transforming co-ords given a
discrete co-ordinate space :) but this would solve it - and same with line
objects too.
