I'm not a dev, just an occasional contributor, but here's my point of
view.
As Ubuntu user, i vote for the frontend.
As FreeBSD user, i know that networkmanager isn't ready to run, but
seems that there's a lot of work to have HAL running on FreeBSD,
another vote for the frontend.
