I'm afraid you're mistaken. I see "evidence" filemanager on screenshots,
and icons on desktop. Icons can be added without efm, there is tutorial
on that subject here:

I followed it, and I have now desktop icons myself.

I was using (on occassion) efm until last month or so, but now I
upgraded my system to RedHat9 and I think I will give evidence a try.

I may have efm sources somewhere on my CDs, but try to search here:
http://e1x.codewordt.co.uk/ - I'm positive I have found a link to efm
sources there a year ago.
