If you are using enlightenment in a work environment, then the people in charge of installing software should make sure it is configured and working before turning it loose on the employees that are supposed to use it. Those installing it, should read the fine manual, or they aren't doing their job. So you are doing all this complaining and you HAVEN'T EVEN TRIED IT? The changes in config are really pretty minor. $HOME/.e16 vice $HOME/.enlightenment. Menus in .e16/menus/ instead of just in .e16.
