If you are using enlightenment in a work environment, then the people in
charge of installing software should make sure it is configured and
working before turning it loose on the employees that are supposed to
use it. Those installing it, should read the fine manual, or they
aren't doing their job.

Since the recent changes to enlightenment have
not been security updates, and the previous versions have been
extremely stable, then your hypothetical work environment is extremely
irresponsible for just frivolously updating their WM to unstable, CVS
or -pre code.

If YOU don't like changes, then DON'T UPGRADE TO NEWER VERSIONS.

And how do you suppose software can be improved without making changes?

So you are doing all this complaining and you HAVEN'T EVEN TRIED IT?

The changes in config are really pretty minor. $HOME/.e16 vice
$HOME/.enlightenment. Menus in .e16/menus/ instead of just
in .e16. Simple stuff. Your Sysadmin should be able to get you set up
in no time.
