Hi,

I put on-line the new release of E17 packages for Linux Slackware. You
can find the files here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/slacke17

It uses the sf.net cvs code of 2005/12/26

Here is a little summary about the building:

slacke17-libs (EFL, e17/libs)
----------

No problem: eet, edb, evas, ecore, embryo, imlib2, imlib2_loaders, edje,
epeg, epsilon, esmart, engrave, ewl, etox.

Patched: emotion (revert xine-lib API change to work with Slackware)

Broken: evoak (for a long time)

slacke17-base (e17/apps)
----------

No problem: e, e_utils, elation, elicit, entice, entrance, examine, express,
iconbar, imlib2_tools, eclair (+sqlite3), evfs.

Broken: enscribe

euphoria and med needs special dependencies not in Slackware. e_modules
was moved to slacke17-extras because of dependencies (giblib, scrot...)

slacke17-extras (e17/proto, e17/docs, eterm, evidence, misc, e_modules)
----------

e17/proto
No Problem: enterminus, etk, entropy, exhibit

eterm
No problem: libast, Eterm
Patched: spite (missing include)

evidence still works flawless but didn't get any update for months

misc
No problem: giblib, feh, engage, gevas2, enotes, embrace, erss, envision,
eplay, eclips, elapse, equate, scrot, camE

Patched: eConfig (missing ltmain.sh), eeh (include)

Broken: albatross, ee2, eke, eplayer (theme broken)

I didn't check the others

e_modules was built without any problem

About testing
----------
Everythings work, exhibit is nice and new modules configuration panel is
handy. 2 glitches still remains:
- After 1st launch of E, first time the cursor move to a window border
or corner,
it displays a white square (missing pix in theme?)
- In the module/monitor, there is no more transparency of the graphics display
(for more than 1 month).

Hope these informations can help some people around. The patches I used
(really trivial actually) can be found in the slacke17-src package.
Everything is
