Hi Massimo, > > Patched: emotion (revert xine-lib API change to work with Slackware) > > uhmm, I'm using slack 10.0 and having no problems building emotion.
But it doesn't work with Slackware 10.2, the last stable release (xine-lib 1.0.3a). Sorry about 10.0 but you should consider upgrading if you plan to test new software. >[...] > > No problem: e, e_utils, elation, elicit, entice, entrance, examine, express, > > iconbar, imlib2_tools, eclair (+sqlite3), evfs. > > I think you should put in your package only non-obsolete code. > e.g., AFAIK iconbar is not useful to anyone, and so it's even med and > maybe other packages of which I do not know. I try to follow as much as I can the E17 CVS repository without adding to much external dependency packages. That is the easiest way for me. It's not straightforward to say "it's obsolete" or "not". For example, iconbar is in official CVS, it builds cleanly, it's working (even standalone) and use the EFL. Why not package it ? If you don't like it, just do not install the iconbar-*.tgz package. It's more work for me, but it's more choices for the users.
