I think I have it narrowed down. Starting from 66135 and rebuilding svn through 
and including 66218, (not every one, but by every 10 or so  commits), 
everything built fine and I could start e. 

svn commit 66219 failed to build e with this error: e failed 
e_int_config_display.c: 954: error: too few arguments to function 
e_randr_store_configuration.

next commit, 66220, builds correctly, but this is the start of where the 
problem is for me. Fails as described earlier. I tried 66220, 240, 250, and the 
66303 but these show the same problem.
