ad the kernel level - yes. but e just stuffs it all into 0 to 1 ranges. or
should...
 at the e_backlight api leve. it seems our ACTIOn though uses a 0 to 100 value
for adjustments to level sets. so indeed the  default action params are wrong.

in fact... it seems to just be the acpi bindings... the keybindings are right. :
