Jeff, We have the same problem. Our Dell's (broadcom as well as intel cards) won't stay connected. Ours drops way more than 1-2 times an hour. They seem to disconnect less when using a SSID with PSK instead of RADIUS auth. Plz try it and let me know if you get the same results.
This is really a problem for us since Dell laptops are the corporate standard and there is no problems for users when they go to other locations using other vendor wireless. We are using all 2620's. i don't think the problem is in the AP. We have had the RADIUS team look at logs when these drop. There are no 'disconnect' instructions being sent from the RADIUS server. We have a GTAC case open on the issue and were told it was going to be fixed in the last release of firmware. We upgraded and are still seeing the problem. I'll keep you updated on our case. We are running AP3610's and at one school seem to be experiencing an occasional disconnect from the wireless network. A user can be in an area of great signal strength and can lose the connection 1 or 2 times per hour. A quick disconnect and reconnect establishes the connection again and all is fine. The Dell laptops are using Broadcom wireless cards.
