Is there a web page that documents what problem(s) Mozilla is trying to address
by including BITS technology?

Subject: [Mozilla Enterprise] New 68 feature: BITS update downloading

Hello Enterprise folks,

I just wanted to make you aware of a new feature coming out (likely in 68 ESR)
related to our update system. Currently Firefox updates by downloading update
files internally while Firefox is running. We've added support for downloading
via the Windows BITS service in 68. Based on initial testing we see very few
issues with BITS - few systems have it disabled, and very few encounter errors,
so we're optimistic about shipping this feature.

I'd be interested in any feedback customers might have on two areas -

1) Enterprise customers might have unique configurations that could impact BITS
use. If you have any concerns please let me know.

2) Our current implementation loads BITS under user account privileges, but
this will change in time in a future rollout. We're concerned generally about
about proxy interactions with BITS, both when in use as the user or under a
local service account.

Feel free to ask any other questions you might have!

Regards,
Jim Mathies
