O.K., maybe "bug" is the wrong word. It is not a bug, it is merely a poor
implementation
of a feature which makes that feature almost completely useless. What use are
automatically recurring tasks if I have to go in each day and edit that day's
recurring
tasks in order to get it to sync to the Palm? Doesn't sound too automatic to
me!

Then the solution here is to have entourage create a new task for recurring
tasks so
that recurring tasks WOULD be compatible with the Palm, since that is the GOAL
in this
situation! I would just use DateBk 4's recurring tasks, but Entourage is too
stupid to
interpret DateBk 4's method of assigning an alarm time for events and thus I
only have
an alert on the Palm, not in Entourage.
And speaking of alerts, explain the logic behind the following behavior (if
you can):
I create a recurring task with an alert to remind me when to do it. The alert
goes off in
Entourage, so I click "Dismiss" to dismiss the alert. I go and do what I need
to do, then
come back and mark the task as complete. The new occurrence of the task is
created,
but WITHOUT the alert! This is just plain dumb.
Both of these situations need to be rectified in the next release (hopefully
soon)!
> Now you might say, why not just make it a new task on the Palm? Here's why:
Like I said, don't make it a new task on the Palm; make it a new task in
entourage. Then
the problem is solved. After all, if it appears twice in my task list (once
completed and
once not), doesn't it make sense that ONE of them would HAVE to be new?

There is always death and taxes.
However, death doesn't get worse every year.
