One of my IMAP accounts is on an server running IMail 6.0
(www.ipswitch.com).

One of the features of this server is that, if someone sends mail to me at,
say, [EMAIL PROTECTED], it'll create a new mailbox called "test" in my
[EMAIL PROTECTED] account, and stick the mail there.

Unfortunately, Entourage doesn't seem to want to see this new mailbox. If I
select the top-level mailbox, the right pane shows me a hierachical list of
mailboxes, including the new one. However, it doesn't show up on the left
side (even if I unsubscribe and subscribe again). I try to get the complete
list of mailboxes, and it still doesn't show up. I try to clear the cache,
quit Entourage, restart it, and get the complete list again, and it still
doesn't show up. Finally, I had to delete the account and create a new IMAP
account to get the folder list in sync.

A related problem: IMail doesn't really understand hierarchical mailboxes,
but it has a hack to get around that. Let's say I have a folder called
Testing, with subfolders called 123 and 456. They work just fine over IMAP,
and on the webmail client they show up as top-level mailboxes called
"Testing.123" and "Testing.456" (which is fine with me).

However, if I try to rename "Testing" to "Test," I end up with an empty
folder called "Test," and two orphaned subfolders (which can still be
accessed by webmail as "Testing.123" and "Testing.456" but which can't be
accessed by IMAP).

If I go into the webmail client and explicitly rename all three folders to
"Test" and "Test.123" and "Test.456" they should reappear under "Test" (and
they do in other IMAP clients). But in Entourage, I have the same problem as
above--the new mailboxes just won't show up properly.
