When setting up one's Mail & News preferences, under the Reply & Forward
tab, it's excellent that Entourage now let's me add the text "On [DATE],
[NAME] wrote:." And then there's the nice check box for "Place insertion
point before quoted text." Both excellent features if implemented
correctly.
The problem I'm having, is that when replying to a message, my signature is
below the quoted text, while my insertion point is above the quoted text.
In addition to that, the insertion point is right next to the text "On
[DATE], [NAME] wrote:" which requires one to hit [return] twice and then
move the cursor up twice to get a readable message.
Everything works correctly, however, when I forward a message.
My other observation, which may have been an oversight, is the loss of
normal Mac editing controls. The keys Cmd-Left Arrow or Cmd-Right Arrow
should jump the cursor from one end of the line to the other. This is how
OE worked. Now the Cmd-Arrow keys just move the cursor one word at a time
(this is what the Option key is supposed to do). Someone please tell me
this can be changed somehow.
