I'm not asking for it to be removed. I'd just like an option to change it.
Another preference would be one approach, but too many prefs is not a good
thing, and there are enough already. But I think some general facility for
allowing user customization of shortcuts, a la Word (but hopefully simpler
than Word's confusing Customize interface) would be great. Then, if you like
Delete to delete things, you've got it, and if I don't like it, I don't.
