I do like the integration that Entourage adds to the Office 2001 package,
and certainly the cross platform problem is solved with Word in the package.
Entourage is basically a good PIM. But I miss some features that are in
other PIM's. I realize that one cannot have all, but here's a few
suggestions.
Every time you make a new task, you have to save, then close the box. It
should close the box automatically after a save. Also the date defaults to
the year. Defaulting to the day and not the month would be much easier, or
even a pop up calendar.
The on line help scroll is very, very slow. I expect this to be fixed soon.
I strongely feel that there should be a carry forward in tasks, and all
tasks for a particular day should show up in the Calendar few. I presume
that a lot of us perhaps use Calendar in the 'One Day' view. Your
appointments are there, but the task list is not accurate. The tasks in the
calendar view should show overdue, and tasks for that particular day.
Practically all Pim's do this.
It took some time on the list for Remo Del Bello to show me how to do this
in a custom task view. But I feel this should not be a workaround. The
Calendar view should show the tasks of the day, overdue tasks of the day,
and the appointments. As a new user of Entourage, I've used many PIM's and
will continue to use Entourage, but in some respects it is cumbersome.
