Rather than make a new group, as I suggested a moment ago (since the Group
wouldn't actually show the zip codes, of course, nor can you select anything
more complicated than a whole block of text in the Field Sort - no jumping
around - from which to make a more select group), I could try getting very
fancy here:

I could try adapting the Sort by Field script to also put the results into
an Excel spread-sheet. (You could manually link the Entourage field-message
to the Excel file: unfortunately that can't be scripted - an Entourage
scripting gap. But that would give you an easy way to get there from
Entourage when you need to.) That would allow you to command-select or
shift-select various records in Excel while looking at the columns there, so
you WOULD see the zip codes, for example. Then a script (run from Entourage
or OSA menu, since Excel doesn't have a script menu) could open up
Entourage's Address Book and select the same contacts in the Address Book,
from which you could run George's script.

How would that be? Would this be better than what I suggested earlier? In
what I proposed earlier, you could only have either the entire Address Book,
but sorted in a zippy order, or contiguous groups (which might be OK, of
course).
