I had been to <http://applescript.com> and followed every link on that page
but none go to any pdf's but I did find the language guide as html.
I went through the What is applescript
(http://www.apple.com/applescript/techsheet/AppleScript.html) stuff and all
links go back to the main http://applescript.com page. I did a search for
AppleScript Language Guide on the Apple site and there was no link in the
first 50 to the pdfs.
I did find the scripting additions pdf but there was no link from there to
the AppleScript Language Guide pdf either.

I even found http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/macos8/mac8.html but both
the applescript links on that page don't have links to the pdfs!

And now I see I could have saved myself an hour and just found it through
Google.   :-(
