Paul,One of the thousands of things you can do with OneClick is built-in: the Task Bar, which is a substitute for the OS’s Application Switcher (the menu in the extreme right of your Mac menu bar, which can be detached) and looks like a smaller version of it, also has some extra features. If you triple-click any icon in it, all the background applications are made invisible.
How exactly would that work? I’ve perused the oneclick site but this wasn’t apparent by looking at the pdf’s and support files.
Thanks, Doug

Get OneClick.
I can also write you an applescript which does the same thing which you could run from OSA menu so it would always be available. You could even try it with a keyboard command, although they can sometimes be wonky in OSA menu. (Get the full version 1.2.2 of OSA menu free at http://www.lazerware.com. Don’t try the newer beta version if it’s there.) Here’s the script:
tell application "Finder" to set visible of (every application process whose frontmost is false and visible is true) to false
Save it as a compiled script and out it i the Universal folder in Scripts folder in System folder. You can set a keyboard command in OSA Menu (directions are in the ReadMe), but it sometimes acts up.
