Title: Re: Hiding inactive apps and command-H
Oh, I see what you’re talking about now. Unfortunately not quit the result I’m looking for. What I would really like is the ability to make the contents of windows within applications grayed out if they are not the foremost window. Normal behavior is that any controls and the window title is grayed out but not the content. I would like the content also to have that “inactive look”. An application that does do this is vicomsoft’s ftp client. Directory windows behind the front window have an inactive look to them, the text of the directory is also grayed.

This doesn’t seem to be something easily set up with the Mac OS.

One of the thousands of things you can do with OneClick is built-in: the Task Bar, which is a substitute for the OS’s Application Switcher (the menu in the extreme right of your Mac menu bar, which can be detached) and looks like a smaller version of it, also has some extra features. If you triple-click any icon in it, all the background applications are made invisible.
