For my part, I'm fairly happy with the current solution. It seems to catch
most of the real junk. I get junk mail that is directly addressed to me,
personally, which often does get through. But I think that is a lot harder
to catch, unless you make the criteria (if the sender isn't in my Address
Book it is junk). That, to me, is too strict; especially since I have to
respond to a lot of unsolicited mail from people who see stuff on my web
site.
Every now and then--I guess a couple of times each week--I get a message
that should not be marked as junk getting classed that way. That's the only
thing that keeps me from having all junk routed directly to the trash. It
would be nice if that was something that could be "fixed" or controlled in
some way. However, for the time being, I don't mind opening the Junk folder
where I route the stuff, selecting all, and then Cmd-clicking on anything I
don't want deleted before I Cmd-Delete to delete all the rest.
So, by and large, I think the junk filter is working very well, all things
considered.
