Child folders inherent their attributes from their parent *IF* the child
doesn't have any of it's own.

Once you "enter" a child folder, it suddenly will have it's own.

For local folders, you can tweak the parent folder's attributes, then create
a subfolder.  And it will inherit.

For IMAP, you have to do this for the top level of each hierarchy, but once
you've got it set, it'll inherit all the way through each hierarchy.

POP behaves like one of the above, but I don't recall which.

They tell me it's a feature. ;-)

But I'd rather have one something vaguely similar to the current Finder View
mentality where there's a global default and I can tweak each individual
folder's view if I so desire.
