I access my iDisk via a dial-up line while at home, and also while on the
road. My experience, even with things like uploading scripts (which are not
much larger than mail messages, typically), is that the iDisk is
<unbearably> slow, sometimes taking a minute or more to copy a 20 or 30K
file. I don't think this solution would be workable unless you have access
via some high-speed connection like DSL, cable, or a T1 line. And even then,
from what I can see, the slow-down is quite often not in the connection, but
in the response from mac.com. It's one of the reasons I tend to
procrastinate about updating the scripts on my web site.
