 I don't want to spend all day arguing how many angels can dance on the head
of a pin, but....  I think there's a difference between distributing
AppleScripts as run-only applications, and distributing the source (as it
were) on the list and asking non-scripters to take the last steps to make it
work.  There's just an infinite number of things that can go wrong.

I never meant to cast aspersions on the quality of the scripts here, or the
intentions of the script writers.  These scripts ARE safe in their form on
the list, and I'm sure that if any script were posted that was egregiously
bad, other people would post telling people not to use it.

I'd have the same concerns on other lists distributing source code to
newbies.  This happens all the time on my 4D discussion lists; the
difference is that all of the people on that list are programmers.
