You are a newcomer to this list, Jeff? There's no need to be so alarmist. If
you'd like to appoint yourself the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, by
all means go ahead. There are 70 Entourage scripts of mine at AppleScript
Central: please download them all and read them all and publish warnings
here of any damage creation you might find there. It might take you a while.
Some of them are pretty big.
I think I'll retire from script-writing if people are going to portray me as
someone bumbling through their files doing damage. Who needs that, right?
Certainly not the 3500 people who have downloaded Office for Office, for
example.
If everyone's going to be afraid to use one of my scripts, I won't release
any more. In the meantime, Jeff had better get a posse together to get rid
of the delete button from the toolbar. That can do a lot of damage too, in
the wrong hands (yours), don't you think?
Would the 1000 or so people reading this list like to contribute stories of
the damage they have suffered at the hands of the incompetent scripters
here? It might be very instructive.
And don't forget to back up your data every time you use one of my scripts,
of course.
