NUTSHELL:
Entourage crashes when POPping from a schedule, but works fine from "Online
Access" accounts in folder list.
BACKGROUND:
I installed Entourage (and Office 2001) about 2 weeks ago, after using OE
for many moons. Since that time, I have been unable to check mail by a
schedule.
I have most of my accounts set to "Allow online access (show in folder
list)" and I am able (and ONLY able) to check mail by manually selecting
accounts and dragging messages over to the Inbox (or other destination.)
Every time I run a schedule (either manually or timed) to check a POP
account, Entourage crashes.
FYI: I still have OE 5.02 installed and there are no problems in that app.
I continue to use it without problems.
I have phoned MS support for one of my four calls for Office 2001 and they
have been no help at all.
I have rebooted in various states, removing any OT/TCP/IP related extensions
(for example, without OT Auto Push and such) thinking that maybe there was
interference with proper network control at the time Entourage tried to use
net services, but no start-up state that I've tried has solved the problem.
Any ideas at all?
I now use OE for mailing, and Entourage for my schedule and palm synching,
which is ludicrous.
