I have two (unrelated) questions regarding display issues:
1. Does the Custom View criteria for Msgs ALWAYS act on newsgroup msgs as
well? I have a CV set up for today's msgs and it lists EVERY newsgroup msg
in EVERY newsgroup that I have visited (even if I didn't read the msg).
That usually means several thousand msgs are showing up there, and (as you
can guess) it's just not a useful tool (for msgs anyway) if you can't filter
out Newsgroup articles (they are just considered 'received' if I display
them in Entourage...?)
2. Unrelated: No matter how I set my prefs, I continue to get msgs that
have either HTML (colored bgs) or alternate fonts.
For example, almost every msg in this group from Allen Watson shows up on my
machine as Comic Sans type. I have changed settings back and forth (do not
display HTML, display HTML, different default font, etc.)
My character encoding is Western ISO. Should I be using Unicode? Is this
even related to the font display issues (no, I think).
Any tips, sugg's, etc?
