I'd say the preference panels are a little vague...actually a lot vague...on
the issue. It 'appears' that one is turning off HTML display (Prefs:Mail &
News:Read:Display Complex HTML Messages is Unchecked) when apparently there
is some arbitrary subset of HTML messages called "Complex HTML". I never
knew.

I might start speaking to my aunt again if I can find a way to nuke HTML

Harry, now I really DO think something is wrong <grin>.
Seems strangely illogical that you can't just turn off HTML displaying
altogether.
