There are several archiving methods for mail. I suggest you search the
archives of this mailing list on the word "archive" to see what you find. I
plan to use John Carlsen's archive package, which requires FileMaker Pro. It
is in beta testing right now.
As for calendar, no clearcut method. Look at scripts available on
www.applescriptcentral.com to export/import calendar events.
