I've never had this problem myself. But I've seen numerous posts about
solutions for it, including primarily two things:

1. Make a second copy of a library file: Microsoft Internet Library. Copy it
from
"System Folder:Extensions:" and put it into "Office 2001:Office:" folder.

2. Get rid of Windows Media Player. From MacFixit:

To solve the Entourage/IE crash problem, do the following after quitting IE
and Entourage:

1. Open the plug-ins folder in the Internet Explorer folder.

2. Remove BOTH the Windows Media Player Plugin and the DRM plugin.

3. Do NOT install Windows Media Player 6.x ever again.
