Thanks. I didn't know that. The whole question arose because of the eternal
"IE crashes when clicking on URLs in E'rage"-issue. Someone (I guess, Allen)
passed on some MacFixit advice to remove all traces of WMP and the DRM
plug-in. None of us knew what DRM was for. You've told us. Thanks again.

DRM plug-in is a "Digital Rights Management" plug in.
It can be used for secure PDF delivery (Adobe's Web Buy) and other kinds of
secure plug-in content (like music purchases and such.)
