I do agree with the part of this message that I cut out ("power user"
documentation would be nice), but the particular question of how to start
page numbering on something other than the first page is answered easily by
going to the Word Help screen and typing "page numbering" into the search
box. One of the options is "specify how to start or restart page numbering,"
and that explained about using a new section and the header, etc clearly and
concisely. So this *particular* issue is really well addressed in Word Help.

And as a very long-time Word user (I don¹t even know how far back I go - I
can clearly remember upgrading from 5 to 6), I do think that the current
version is a big improvement and makes many of the things I do a lot easier.
OTOH, probably it's a lot harder for someone starting more or less from
scratch.
