Non - sequiter. I get just as much plain text spam as HTML spam. The 
format of email has nothing to do with spam.

No it can't. If it could, we wouldn't need things like Word, Nisus, 
Wordperfect, Appleworks, etc.

What does spam have to do with HTML email? You are mixing an unsolvable 
problem (spam), with a solvable one, (poorly thought out HTML email)

E'rage defaults to what most people want. Guess what, most of the people 
that pay for Office want decent formatting tools. This would explain why 
they want Word, Excel, and PowerPoint too.

E'rage renders basic HTML, i.e. the formatting tools, just fine. It's 
the pictures, and other dancing baloney that slows it down.

Most people format fine, they just do it in a way you don't like.
