Well, after a bit of finagling, I convince the file to be in Mac Japanese, which imported just fine.

One question for the Entourage team – why is there an email field in addition to the numbered email fields email 1, 2, 3, ...?
Email addresses in the unnumbered email field do not show up in the email address list, but instead in the telephone numbers list, and I presume that they are not available as addresses to mail to with Entourage... What is the story?
