Here is the text of a previous message to the list....
Go to "Accounts" on the Tools menu. Select your account and click "Edit".
Click on the Options tab. Under "Additional Headers" create an entry where
Header is:
Return-Receipt-To
and value is your email address, say
"John Doe" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>"
or just
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
This should work. The main problems are that there is no way to turn this
off on a per-message basis, so you may have to disable it temporarily to
send mail to certain mailing lists which reject incoming messages which
request return receipts (just put "xxx" or something in front of the
"Return-Receipt-To" string temporarily in this case, but it IS a nuisance).
Also, don't forget to change the email address the receipt is sent to if
your email address changes.
Actually, all you'd have to do to turn it on/off on a per-message basis is
set it up as a send-only account, using it when you want return receipts and
using your standard account for when you don't.
