I am wondering if there is a script that will take the contents of a large
folder (like, say, for Entourage mac-talk) and archive it to a series of
folders below the current location, sorted by year-month.
For example, in my database, I have a folder named Entourage Talk, which
contains nearly a year's worth of articles (6057 items at this moment). I
would like to run a script which would create the following structure,
putting the messages in the proper folder:
Entourage Talk
|
+- 2000-01
|
+- 2000-02
.
.
.
+- 2001-06
I am an experienced programmer, but have never, ever tried AppleScript.
Pointers to either an existing script (or one needing only minor mods), or
help on doing the scripting myself would be incredibly appreciated.
